One reason I would potentially suggest PS3 is because Brock did a phenomenal job of updating the rosters/coaches using Hex editing and I don’t know if there would be a reliable Hex editor nowadays. I sold my PS3 a while back, and now am going to purchase either a PS3 or Xbox 360.ĭoes anyone have any input into which console would be more popular for 2k8? Want to make sure I’m doing a project that is most beneficial to the maximum number of people possible and also give people a headstart to get that console before October/November 2020. But I think I could get going on these now and spread it more evenly throughout the Summer/Fall. Just about every school included in the Division I NCAA tournament was included, including new additions at the time. It gave basketball fans the chance to play with some of the up-and-coming megastars of the era, including cover star Greg Ogden.

I was in college back then, so naturally had a boatload of free time in the summer, and I am working now (and working a lot). Released in 2007, College Hoops 2K8 compiled the very best college teams and players from the era. It took forever, but it was actually a ton of fun, kept the roster building alive into 2016-2017, and most of all allowed me to have some fun dynasties that year. For some of us, that one feature will be all we need to hear to commit to another version of College Hoops. Getting rosters should have been this easy ever since all our consoles used the Internet out of the box. All I’ve seen is ridiculous prices for it, even more than NCAA Football 14. I had previously done the 2015-2016 PS3 roster project essentially from scratch. The biggest change from 2K7 to 2K8 is 2K Share. I have 2k8 for the 360, but I’m also looking for NCAA Basketball 10 because it seems to have a more active roster community and to also have it as an option to play. I am contemplating doing a roster project for the 2020-2021 college season, which would obviously be amazing to start now and would make a complete roster available for the beginning of the season.
